MEET MELANI BELTRAN
This is my first year at NOVA, and I am in the Business Administration program planning to major in Accounting. The transition to college was a little hard but I’m doing well and getting As and Bs. I plan to transfer to George Mason University after I finish my two years at NOVA. Recently, I started working at Carrabba’s Italian Grill three days; one day in the kitchen and the other two on “carside,” making a total of 21 hours per week. In the kitchen I work in the “coldside” station making salads and desserts for dine in and to go. When I work on carside I make sure that everything that people order online, 3rd party applications, or by phone is in the bag and nothing is missing. When people order for pickup I take the food to their cars and take the payment if they have not paid by phone. I only work a little bit because I want to dedicate most of my time to make sure I am doing great in my classes.
